-All 2025 champions of major men’s state amateur and mid-amateur championships

As part of your entry fee, ONE practice round is included and it must be played on Monday, January 5. Practice rounds at Southern Dunes OR Ocotillo are first-come, first-serve by the player. Any additional practice rounds at Ocotillo or Southern Dunes are the responsibility of the player. Players may only book one round at Southern Dunes OR Ocotillo on Monday 1/5.

Registration: There is no registration for this event. All players are responsible for being at their starting holes at the scheduled time.
Entry Fee: The $595 entry fee includes the tournament rounds and a practice round on Monday, January 5. It includes the use of all practice facilities before and after the rounds on all four tournament days. It also includes a premier tournament gift.
CARTS: Players will be walking for the tournament with caddies and push carts (non-motorized) allowed.
Spectator Carts: Spectator carts are available on a incredibly limited space-available basis for per round and are very limited as well as restricted to handicapped and demonstrated medical needs. All spectator cart access and fees are the sole decision of the host golf clubs.

- Includes one exemption (player must meet minimum handicap and prospect restrictions). Exemption can be used up until entry deadline on December 19, 2025, even after wait list formed. All sponsorships do not include entry fee of chosen exempt player.

Conduct and Attire: Golf spike policy of Southern Dunes and Ocotillo is in effect at the time of the championship. Proper golf attire is required. Golf shirt must have a collar and either pants or golf shorts are required. All head wear must be worn forward. Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct – including but not limited to: cursing, throwing clubs, damage to the golf course, or other are prohibited. Disqualification with no refund is possible at the sole discretion of the tournament committee.
Pace of Play: We ask that the first two players who hole out proceed immediately to the next tee and hit when ready. Walk ahead and save time when possible. In the practice round, no more than one ball should be played to the green. Play as fast as possible. If you are holding up play during the practice round, you may be asked to leave by the Talking Stick and/or Saguaro Amateur staff.
Withdrawals and Refunds: All paid entries are subject to a $125 handling fee at all times and for any reason. Refunds minus $125 are available up until December 31, 2025, when there are no refunds for withdrawal or no show for any reason.
Waiting List: When a waiting list forms, credit cards and checks will not be cashed until a player is confirmed entry off of the waiting list. Sponsor exemptions are not subject to the waiting list and can be used up until December 31, 2025.

The Saguaro Amateur is a 54 hole, men’s amateur golf tournament being played at both Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, AZ, and Ocotillo Golf Club (Sky/Valley nines) in Chandler, AZ. The Saguaro Amateur is considered as an established national amateur golf championship.
