The 2026 Silverado Amateur will be played July 27-28 at world-class Silverado Golf Club (North) in Napa, California. The Silverado Amateur will be a world-amateur ranked event as is the standard in all of our Troon Saguaro Amateur Series events. The Silverado Am is scheduled to be 54-holes with no cut (weather permitting). Included in the $595 USD entry fee is all three competitive rounds of the event, the practice round on Sunday, July 26, a player gift, practice facility usage, and on-site discounts. We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Silverado is the home to the PGA Tour’s Fortinet Championship as well as the Troon Saguaro Amateur Series’ Grapevine Amateur (winter) and is widely considered one of the best courses in Northern California.
SILVERADO AMATEUR ENTRY CRITERIA: A player is exempt if he meets one of the entry criteria below and submits a a completed application (with $595 payment) by July 18, 2026. This is an Open Amateur tournament and the player must have a handicap index of 3.0 or better. Any player who meets any of the standardized criteria below may enter the Silverado Amateur. The entry deadline is July 18, 2026, or when full, whichever is earlier.
- Top 250 in closest ranking 2025-26 Men’s Golfweek Collegiate Rankings or Clippd Rankings (Division I)
- Top 1000 players in the World Amateur Golf Rankings
- All 2025 or 2026 champions of major men’s state amateur and mid-amateur championships
- All participants in the men’s 2025 or 2026 US Mid-Amateur, USGA Four-Ball, and US Amateur Championships
- All male golfers with a handicap of 3.0 and below
- All players must be active members of the Troon Saguaro Amateur Series
Schedule of Events
Sunday, July 26: Practice round at Silverado Golf Club (schedule tee times on your own directly with the Silverado Golf Shop at 707-257-5460)
Monday, July 27: 9:00 am shotgun start rounds 1 and 2 (continuous play)
Tuesday, July 28: Final round tee times or shotgun (more details closer to the event)
*Players will be walking for all competition rounds (push carts – motorized or non-motorized are allowed)
Troon Saguaro Amateur Series Tournament Waiver (in addition to our liability waiver listed on our entry form):
The Troon Saguaro Amateur Series reserves the right to accept, decline, or withdraw any entry at any time. Accepted entries shall be subject to the rules and regulations set forth for this competition by the Troon Saguaro Amateur Series as well as any guidelines in place by the host facility or local health agencies. By entering this Troon Saguaro Amateur Series-administered event, all participants agree that there are certain risks and accept personal and sole liability for all such risks, including, but not limited to, any health-related risks. Participants acknowledge and accept responsibility for maintaining their own personal safety, including but not limited to, utilizing their own PPE, practicing social distancing, and sanitizing themselves if they contact people or surfaces. All participants also understand that there is currently a risk of contracting COVID-19 at any Troon Saguaro Amateur Series-administered event and accept personal responsibility and sole liability for that risk.

Transportation: All participants are responsible for their own transportation to/from the event. The host hotel is located directly on property with easy access to all golf facilities. Plan all departure flights accordingly to competing most of the day during the final round on 7/29.
Carts/Walking: The tournament will be walking only. Caddies are allowed and welcome. Spectator carts will be available on a space-available basis only to those with a HANDICAP PLACARD or MEDICAL NOTE and will be at an extra cost. All cart availability for practice rounds are subject to availability and weather. (additional cost). Push carts are allowed.
Conduct and Attire: Golf spike policy of Silverado Golf Club is in effect. Proper golf attire is required at all times in all golf areas. Golf shirts must have a collar and either pants or golf shorts are required. All headwear must be worn forward. Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct-including but not limited to: cursing, throwing clubs, damage to the golf course, or other are prohibited. Disqualification with no refund is possible at the sole discretion of the tournament committee.
Pace of Play: We ask that the first player or two who hole out proceed immediately to the next tee and hit when ready. Walk ahead and save time when possible. In the practice round, no more than one ball should be played to the green. Play as fast as possible.
Withdrawals and Refunds: All confirmed and paid entries are subject to a $125 non-refundable handling fee at all times. Refunds minus $125 are available up until July 18, 2026, after which there are no refunds for withdrawal or no show for any reason (including injury).
