The 2025 Gobbler Amateur will be held November 23-25 at Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona. The Gobbler will be a World Amateur Golf Rankings event. The Gobbler will be 54-holes with no cut (weather permitting). Included in the entry fee is all three rounds of the tournament as well as the practice round on Sunday, November 23. The Gobbler is an established national golf championship event per NCAA rules.

Event Criteria: A player is exempt if he meets one of the entry criteria below and submits a complete application (with payment) by November 14, 2025. This is an Open Amateur tournament and the player must have a handicap index of 3.0 or better. Any player who meets any of the standardized criteria below may enter the Gobbler Amateur.

• Top 250 in closest ranking to the final 2024-25 NCAA Scoreboard Rankings (DIVISION I) or closest ranking to November 1, 2025, in the 2025-26 rankings
• Top 1000 players in World Amateur Golf Rankings
• Top 1000 players in Golfweek Amateur Rankings
• All 2025 champions of major state amateur and mid-amateur championships
• All participants in the 2025 US Mid-Amateur, USGA Four-Ball, and US Amateur Championships
• All male golfers with a handicap of 3.0 or below.

• Sunday, November 23: Practice round at Sewailo GC – call the course at 520.838.6623 by November 18 to schedule practice round. 
• Monday, November 24: Shotgun start for rounds 1 and 2 at 7:30 am (continuous play) BOX LUNCH included in entry fee for Monday’s golf
• Tuesday, November 25: Final Round AM start

*Due to casino gaming regulations, players must have someone 21 with them at check-in even if they are not staying in the same room.  Roy Edwards will be on-site on Sunday but if you check-in before Sunday you must have another person who is on property with you to check-in to your room if you are under 18.  This can be anyone who is physically there that is 21 years old. 

Transportation: All participants are responsible for their own transportation to/from the event. The host hotel has a free shuttle to/from Sewailo GC. Tucson International Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the course. Plan all departure flights accordingly as no changes will be made to starting times for flights.

Carts: All participants will be provided carts and this is included in the entry fee. Carts are optional.  Caddies are allowed but will have to walk and may not ride on the back of carts. Spectator carts are not going to be available.  We will have double-rider carts.  The carts are a player enhancement and are not required to be used.  A very limited number of single rider carts may be available at an additional cost.  Please contact the pro shop directly for these.  

Conduct and Attire: Golf spike policy of Sewailo Golf Club is in effect at the time of the championship. Proper golf attire is required. Golf shirt must have a collar and either pants or golf shorts are required. All headwear must be worn forward. Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct-including but not limited to: cursing, throwing clubs, damage to the golf course, or other are prohibited. Disqualification with no refund is possible at the sole discretion of the tournament committee.

Pace of Play: We ask that the first two players who hole out proceed immediately to the next tee and hit when ready. Walk ahead and save time when possible. In the practice round, no more than one ball should be played to the green. Play as fast as possible. If you are holding up play during the practice round, you may be asked to leave by the Sewailo and/or Gobbler Amateur staff.

Withdrawals and Refunds: All paid entries are subject to a $125 handling fee at all times and for any reason. Refunds minus $125 are available up until November 13, 2025, when there are no refunds for withdrawal or no show for any reason.

Competition Waiver:  I wish to enter the 2025 Gobbler Amateur. Please charge my credit card and process my entry fee payment of $595. The entry fee includes the four rounds of golf for the tournament, participant cart, and all practice facility usage during those days before and after the round.  I understand $125 of my entry fee is non-refundable at all times. Refunds (minus $125) will be given by proper written request to the tournament chairman by November 13, 2025. I understand my entry fee is non-refundable after November 13, 2025.  I hereby agree to waive all claims against the Saguaro Amateur, the Gobbler Amateur, the tournament staff, Sewailo GC, for personal injury or death as a result of any acts by the Saguaro Amateur or Gobbler Amateur in relation to the conduct of the tournament. By entering this Troon Saguaro Amateur Series-administered event, all participants agree that there are certain risks and accept personal and sole liability for all such risks, including, but not limited to, any health-related risks.  Participants acknowledge and accept responsibility for maintaining their own personal safety, including but not limited to, utilizing their own PPE, practicing social distancing, and sanitizing themselves if they contact people or surfaces.  All participants understand there is currently a risk of contracting COVID-19 at any Troon Saguaro Amateur Series-administered event and accept sole liability for that risk.  I certify I meet the entry criteria.
